Dr. Dan Meadows and Dr. James Avery began their practice in 1978. Initially, both served as part time faculty at the UT College of Dentistry. Since that time, they have exceeded their continuing education requirements, making every attempt to stay on the cutting edge of technology and research.

Being general dentists, they provide a wide range of services for the entire family. They focus on a preventive philosophy, spending much of their time
doing restorative dentistry with a special emphasis on cosmetic procedures. They provide whitening as well as beautiful all ceramic crowns and veneers. Health, function, and esthetics are the goals of every reatment plan.

Our Training

Both Doctors have received post-graduate training in endodontics(root canals), dental implants and Invisalign (clear braces). For your convenience, our office utilizes the CEREC system, which allows us to process crowns in only one appointment. In addition we have great relationships with many dental specialists should the need for a referral arise.

Dr. Nishel Patel

Dr. Nishel Patel was born and raised in London, England. She attended dental school at Guy's, King's & St. Thomas' School of Dentistry in London and worked as a general dentist in private practice for two years.
 
Upon moving to Memphis with her husband in 2008, Dr. Patel completed an Advanced Standing Dental Program at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, graduating with a DDS Honors.
 
Dr. Patel enjoys all areas of dentistry with a particular interest in the cosmetic and restorative aspects. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is also a faculty member at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
 
In her spare time time Dr. Patel enjoys running, reading and preparing international culinary cuisine. She is a member of the Memphis Junior League and is involved with community dental screening programs.
 
Dr. Patel is looking forward to establishing her professional career in Memphis and hopes to serve her patients with compassion and excellence.

Our Team

Our staff is extremely concerned about your comfort. We have nitrous oxide and both Doctors are certified in oral conscious sedation (DOCS). Further, we have access to IV sedation as well as out-patient procedures
done under general anesthesia.

We are also concerned about your overall health and safety. We adhere to all OSHA regulations regarding sterilization and cleanliness. We closely monitor your overall health. Our staff are CPR certified and both Doctors have completed ACLS.

Our office believes that proper dentistry done at the proper time is the most economical. Our staff will assist you in obtaining your maximum insurance benefits as well as explain our various financial options.
